Farm Equipment Mechanic

As an Equipment Mechanic, you will perform essential repairs and maintenance on forklifts, light and medium truck vehicles, and various farm and processing plant equipment. You will focus on air conditioning and heating systems, brakes, shocks and struts, steering components, cooling systems, tire mounting and balancing, DTC diagnostics, hydraulic systems, engine tune-ups, and routine preventative maintenance servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of medium and large agricultural and processing equipment.
• Diagnose faults using computerized test equipment and repair diesel and gas engines, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct miscellaneous mechanical repairs on field-based heavy equipment, light and medium trucks.
• Read and understand automotive wiring schematics.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in preventative maintenance and diesel maintenance.
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic systems, and equipment mechanic tasks.
• Knowledge of brake systems, cooling systems, air bags, and truck repair.
• Skill in stick welding, MIG welding, and forklift repair.
• Ability to perform repairs on farm equipment and heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in hand tool usage and troubleshooting.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.05 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
