Environmental Specialist

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Environmental Specialist for our Tallahassee office. This position is a contract-dedicated position supporting a client-specific program. Be involved in site contamination cleanup projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

The successful candidate will facilitate assessment and cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites to protect groundwater in Florida.

  Prioritize tasks, track project deliverables and deadlines and monitor progress of site assessment and remediation projects for petroleum contaminated sites in Florida.

  Verify investigation data in technical reports, maps and summary tables.

  n

• n

  Prepare site specific scopes of work for procurement of site assessment and remediation services.

• n

  Prepare written approvals and comments for project reports and deliverables.

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate with team members for technical decisions and approval of deliverables.

  n

• n

  Communicate effectively in meetings and video calls with property owners, consultants and regulatory professionals.

• n

  Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• n

  Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field.

  n
n
• n

  1 to 3 years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health

  n
n

Preferred Qualifications:

• n

  Experience with site contamination assessment, remediation or groundwater monitoring.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to organize and prioritize a complicated work load to meet established deadlines and metrics.

  n
n
