Shift Time: 11p-7:30a

Responsibilities

• Cleans, polishes furniture/fixtures in assigned areas and arranges furniture and/or equipment as directed.
• Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops, and/or wet mops.
• Collects and removes trash and recyclable items and deposits to designated area.
• May be required to dispose of biochemical waste in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Operates light power equipment and performs preventive maintenance on equipment; e.g., ensures vacuum cleaner bags are emptied regularly.
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies in bathrooms and storage areas.
• Cleans and maintains various floor surfaces.
• This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate, etc.
• Performs floor care using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manual operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing of floors.
• Apply wax and other floor care products under the guidance of EVS Leadership.
• Responsible for transporting waste to central waste depository and packaging biohazardous and biochemical waste to OSHA and DOT standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous environmental services or custodial experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50-75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
