They support a variety of clients including those in the transportation, manufacturing, industrial, oil and gas, chemical and utility spaces. They also work with municipal, state, and federal government clients.
nSpecific assignments and project work vary depending on the market segments. Please see below for information on each market:
nEnvironmental Studies:
nAs an Environmental Studies Intern, you'll support the development of multi-disciplinary environmental analyses for infrastructure projects, with a focus on routing and siting studies. You'll gather and interpret environmental and social data to help assess current conditions, identify potential impacts on protected resources and communities, and contribute to alternative analyses. Your work will play a key role in preparing comprehensive permitting applications and ensuring regulatory compliance. This hands-on experience will give you exposure to environmental planning, impact assessment, and sustainability practices, while collaborating with experts across disciplines to support responsible project development.
nNatural Resources:
nOur Environmental Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard environmental techniques and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with desktop reviews, field studies, data analysis, GIS analysis, and preparation of environmental reports, permits and assessments. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety or projects including high-voltage electric transmission lines, power generation construction activities, renewable energy generation, pipeline construction, industrial, and transportation projects.
nEnvironmental & Regulatory Compliance:

The role also includes preparing and reviewing documentation such as SWPPPs, ESCs, and permitting applications. Interns support compliance by observing construction activities, contributing to erosion control, and using GIS tools to create maps and data visualizations. The position balances field monitoring with office-based reporting, focusing on compliance, permitting, and environmental protection.
nAs an Environmental Industrial Compliance Intern, responsibilities include supporting compliance and assessment efforts across power generation, oil and gas, industrial operations, and water treatment projects. Tasks involve field surveys, site investigations, wastewater and soil sampling, and audits to ensure regulatory adherence. The role includes preparing reports and documents such as SPCC Plans, FRPs, RCRA waste documentation, and field study reports. Interns use GIS tools to create sensitivity maps, emergency response materials, and accurate project mapping.
