Responsibilities

• Collect and test compounds and samples in accordance with permit requirements.
• Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software.
• Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by the permit.
• Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
• Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with testing, pipetting, distillation, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in quality control, chemical handling, and wastewater treatment.
• Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform Ph testing and distillation.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the sciences with no experience, or an Associate degree in science with some laboratory experience.
• High School Diploma with at least a year of industry or academic laboratory experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment handling over 100 samples daily.

Work Environment

You will be working with a dedicated and expanding team of 10 technicians, from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. The environment is business casual, requiring close-toed shoes, with PPE provided on-site. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
