This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  Validate an Environmental Management Plan (EMP), that details all requirements to be fulfilled across the project packages and submit. The EMP shall describe the required procedures, document / record management, and communication protocols, systems, structures, and include tools, templates and checklists to be implemented by Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers and other project stakeholders as applicable, for the successful execution of environmental requirements.

  Conduct annual internal audits on the implementation of the EMP and submit to the Environmental Manager. Ensure the implementation of the corrective and preventative actions, as well as improvement measures are managed by the Construction Supervision Consultant.

  Validate the Contractor's pre-construction survey in accordance with requirements, reviewed and approved by the Construction Supervision Consultant.

  Establish processes to monitor, measure, control and report on Environmental issues against the Project's Environmental Impact Assessment - EIA, and Construction Environmental Management Plans - CEMP.

  Review and validate Construction Environmental plans of all Contractors.

• n

  Lead and manage regular coordination meetings with all Construction Supervision Consultant and Contractors.

• n

  Prepare monthly environmental and sustainability reports.

  n

• n

  Review, validate and issue incident reports on environmental compliance of construction and develop and manage the implementation of corrective actions.

  Assist and coordinate submission documentation and required applications, NOCs and approvals from the NCEC.

• n

  Advise on environmental policies and regulatory requirements, while ensuring applicability to projects and implementation on site.

• n

  Direct liaison with all levels of construction and site management, as well as regulatory authorities; also, complementary disciplines such as logistics, and health and safety.

  Provision of supervision, direct instruction, mentoring, training, assessment, review, technical input, monitoring, rectification, remediation, infringements, auditing, coordination, validation, incident reporting on environmental compliance of all construction activities involved within the assigned projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request

  Minimum 5 years of experience

  Must be a US Citizen

• n

  BS in Engineering from ABET accredited program, PE license in Virginia and Maryland

  n
n
• n

  4 years total experience and minimum of 2 years' experience in construction site management of environmental issues with GCC experience.

• n

  Experience in strategic and development control planning and liaison and coordination with regulatory authorities.

  n

• n

  Experience in the carry out of site surveys and EIAs, and CEMP implementation and auditing.

• n

  Production of weekly and monthly reports demonstrating level of compliance of consultants and contractors.

• BSc/Diploma in Environmental Science / Engineering or similar

Basic Compensation:

$86,200 - $129,300

This range is for the Maryland area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
