Overview

Entry Level Structural Engineer - Advanced Facilities at Jacobs. This role supports the Advanced Facilities - Data Centers team on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You will be involved in design of new structures as well as existing structural upgrades, with mentorship from Professional Engineers and technical experts.

Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $98,000.00/yr

What you’ll do

• Perform structural analysis and design for projects, assisting in the development of structural requirements on paper and in the model.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Professional Engineers, and Designers across disciplines to communicate structural needs.
• Grow to become an integral member of the design team, gaining experience in multiple subject areas and learning how Structural design integrates with other disciplines.
• Handle increasing levels of responsibility, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements, and manage your own workload.
• Take initiative to determine what is needed to meet project and client needs when requirements are ill-defined, with support from teammates as needed.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis in an accredited program
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and Word

Nice to have

• A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited program
• Technically proficient in programs such as RISA-3D, Matlab, STAAD, BlueBeam, finite analysis software, 3D structural analysis software
