JOB SUMMARY:
The Entry Level Laboratory Technician is responsible for learning and performing analytical testing procedures within the Quality Control (QC) laboratory. This position is designed to train new technicians on one of four analytical aisles, preparing samples, conducting tests using instrumental and wet chemistry methods, and recording data in computerized systems. Successful completion of training on one aisle is required before advancement to the Laboratory Technician I position.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare process and finished product samples for analytical testing.
Perform analytical tests using instrumental (HPLC, GC, IC) and wet chemistry methods.
Accurately record and manage data using computerized systems.
Complete plant and laboratory safety orientations and follow all safety policies.
React promptly to eliminate hazards and report accidents, injuries, and near misses immediately.
Conduct at least one laboratory safety audit per month and complete three safety engagements monthly.
Demonstrate strong math skills to perform test-related calculations.
Accept feedback and coaching to support continuous improvement.
Maintain organization and cleanliness in the lab environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by quality department management.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Willingness and ability to work within the time demands of a 24/7/365 operation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer proficiency and math skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in science through education or prior work experience.
Completion of a college-level science lab course preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, GC, IC) and cGMP or FDA regulatory environments is a plus.
Experience in a fast-paced field or environment requiring multitasking.
Stable work history indicating reliability and long-term commitment.
