Entry-Level Lab Technician

Join our dynamic team at Sherwin-Williams as an Entry-Level Lab Technician! In this role, you will play a critical part in upholding our quality control processes by rigorously testing products and analyzing results to ensure they meet our high-quality standards. This position involves following specific testing methods to evaluate production batches and identify any issues, whether the data is in specification or not.

As a key member of our team, you will interpret test results and historical data to ensure our products exceed customer quality expectations. You will also provide guidance to production staff regarding necessary adjustments to batches to maintain quality.

Compensation for this role will be determined based on various factors, including skills, experience, training, and business needs. Please note that the wage range is not adjusted for geographic differentials associated with the position's location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all tests are completed accurately and results meet specifications before proceeding with production.
• Input batch data into the electronic records system.
• Generate necessary paperwork per customer specifications.
• Gather and prepare customer samples as required.
• Utilize computer systems effectively for product testing.
• Determine the disposition of non-compliant finished goods.
• Place non-conforming materials on hold as necessary.
• Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Communicate product issues to relevant departments.
• Create and update standard operating procedures to align with ISO standards.
• Assist in training new lab technicians.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

• At least one year of experience in a quality control laboratory.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
• An Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry.
