In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work directly with children (18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive center-based environment. With excellent supervision, ongoing training, and a passionate team beside you, you will make a real impact every day!

What you'll be doing as a Behavior Therapist

• Apply ABA therapy principles to help children with Autism reach their full potential. This includes reading treatment plans, implementing strategies, collecting data, writing notes, and applying feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Support children's development through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities tailored for early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment, ensure safety, and create a fun working atmosphere throughout the center.
• Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation—activities could include dancing, singing, reading, or playing games. Keep up with children’s energy, actively participate in play, and maintain a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for children’s needs.

Job Requirements

• Physical capability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, and run as needed to engage with young children and ensure safety.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by keeping play areas tidy and organized to provide a stimulating experience for children.
• Multitasking skills to manage multiple activities, decisions, or conversations simultaneously, assessing prioritization and ensuring safety for everyone.
• Teamwork is essential, and you may need to travel to nearby centers to provide support as assigned.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• You must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment, which includes passing a training curriculum, competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:
o Associates/High School: $15.50 - $23.75
o Bachelors: $21.00 - $27.75
o Masters: $22.00 - $28.00
Entry-level candidates: your first raise is earned upon RBT certification, typically within 21 days.

Experience in these fields is a plus!

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor)
• Mental health professionals and advocates
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in education, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
• Experience as direct support professionals
