Your Role as a Behavior Technician

• Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their potential by implementing and following treatment plans, collecting data, documenting progress, and applying supervisor feedback during sessions.
• Support child development for ages 18 months to 8 years through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to optimize treatment effectiveness, ensure safety, and create a fun working atmosphere.
• Interact with children through various playful activities, including running, dancing, reading, and imaginative play, while maintaining high energy and enthusiasm.
• Communicate effectively with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for individual needs.

Job Requirements

• Physical Ability : Lift and support children in a fast-paced setting, capable of lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, and moving quickly to engage young learners and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain a Therapeutic Environment : Keep therapy areas tidy and organized to provide a stimulating and enjoyable atmosphere for children.
• Multitasking Skills : Balance multiple tasks and decisions effectively while prioritizing safety and engagement.
• Team Support : Work cohesively with the center, neighborhood, and region, potentially traveling to nearby centers when needed.
• Transportation : Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School diploma or GED.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by completing a 40-hour training curriculum, a hands-on competency assessment, and successfully passing the board exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $15.50 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $16.50 - $25.50
• Masters: $17.50 - $27.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise is earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Preferred Experience
Experience in roles such as:

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals and advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• A desire to join a caring, team-oriented culture
