In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work hands-on with children (18 months to 8 years) utilizing ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive, center-based environment. What you'll be doing as a Behavior Support Specialist:

• Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and incorporating feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Encourage the development of children in early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure optimal treatment, safety, and a fun working environment throughout the center.
• Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation. For some, this means running, dancing, and singing silly songs; for others, it might involve reading books or playing games. Maintain high energy, actively engage in play, and foster a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively and positively with stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for children's needs.

Job Requirements:

• Physical capability to lift and move with children in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend over to pick items off the ground, squat, and quickly move around on the floor.
• Maintain a therapy-friendly environment by ensuring play spaces are tidy, organized, and stimulating for children.
• Multitasking skills to balance multiple actions, decisions, or conversations while assessing prioritization and safety.
• Team-oriented approach to work cohesively across centers, neighborhoods, and regions as needed, including travel to nearby centers for support.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• You must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by passing a 40-hour training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, registering for, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $15.50 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $16.50 - $25.50
• Masters: $17.50 - $27.00

Your first raise is earned upon RBT certification, typically within 21 days.

Experience in these fields is a plus:

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or educators
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields are preferred.
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants.
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• An eagerness to join a caring, team-oriented culture.
