In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work hands-on with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive center-based environment. With excellent supervision, continuous training, and a passionate team beside you, you'll make a real difference every day!
Your Responsibilities as a Behavior Support Specialist:
- Implement individualized ABA therapy: Use treatment plans to help children with Autism realize their full potential. This includes reading and applying treatment plans, collecting data, writing notes, and integrating supervisor feedback.
- Foster child development: Engage children through fun therapeutic activities tailored to early childhood learning.
- Collaborate effectively: Work with a team to enhance treatment, safety, and enjoyment in the center.
- Engage enthusiastically: Participate in play, movement, and imitation, maintaining a lively and joyful atmosphere.
- Communicate positively: Coordinate with peers, families, and supervisors to share successes and advocate for the children's needs.
Job Requirements:
- Physical ability: Lift and move children up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, and move quickly to engage with young children safely.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment: Keep play areas organized, tidy, and stimulating for children.
- Multitasking skills: Balance multiple tasks and decisions while prioritizing safety for all.
- Team support: Collaborate cohesively with the center, including possible travel to other locations if needed.
- Transportation requirements: Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
You will be expected to complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment through a 40-hour training curriculum and competency assessments.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:
- Associates/High School: $15.50 - $23.50
- Bachelor's: $16.50 - $25.50
- Master's: $17.50 - $27.00
Entry-level candidates can earn their first raise after completing the RBT certification, typically within 21 days.
Experience in the following fields is a plus:
- Childcare (e.g., nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher)
- Mental health or advocacy roles
- Camp counseling or volunteering experiences
- Degrees in teaching, special education, psychology or related fields
- Previous experience as paraprofessionals or direct support staff
- A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
