Entry-Level Autism Behavior Therapist

In our 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) setting, you will work hands-on with children aged 18 months to 8 years, using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques within a supportive, center-based environment. With top-notch supervision, ongoing training, and a passionate team, you'll be making a real difference each day!

In this role, you will:

• Utilize 1-on-1 ABA therapy to help children with Autism achieve their goals by following treatment plans, collecting data, completing necessary documentation, and incorporating feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Facilitate the growth of early childhood development through fun, engaging therapeutic activities.
• Work as part of a collaborative team to optimize treatment, ensure safety, and create a fun environment within the center.
• Engage actively with children through play, movement, and creative activities, keeping their enthusiasm alive through dancing, singing, storytelling, and more.
• Maintain open and positive communication with stakeholders, including peers, families, and supervisors, to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for the needs of the children.

Job Requirements:

• You must be able to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, which includes lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and moving quickly to ensure engagement with young children while maintaining safety and a tidy workspace.
• Ensure a therapy-friendly environment by keeping play areas organized and stimulating for the children.
• Multitasking is essential; you should be able to balance various tasks, decisions, or interactions while prioritizing safety.
• Work cohesively with your team across different center locations if required, which may necessitate travel.
• Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• At least 18 years of age and a High School diploma or GED equivalent are required.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.

Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within the first 20 days of employment, which includes passing a 40-hour training curriculum, a hands-on competency assessment, and the board's exam.

Compensation ranges based on experience and education:

- Associates: $15.50 - $23.25
- Bachelor's: $21.00 - $27.25
- Master's: $22.00 - $28.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise will be earned upon certification as an RBT, typically within 21 days.

Experience in these fields is a plus!

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals or advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields are preferred
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
