Leidos is actively seeking an experienced Enterprise Load Balancer Engineer to join our large-scale IT contract for the Department of Defense (DOD). This pivotal role will involve implementing and maintaining load balancer technologies across a global enterprise network that incorporates both on-premises and cloud-based resources. Responsibilities include upgrading technologies, optimizing performance, managing critical system patches, and collaborating within a dynamic team to fulfill both internal and external mission requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication features on the F5 appliance.
• Maintain regular backups of load balancing configurations and PKI certificates per customer policies.
• Proactively notify customers of impending PKI certificate expirations and assist in their renewal processes.
• Manage and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces effectively.
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects to develop and implement efficient technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support to our 24/7 IT Operations Center in troubleshooting service outages.
• Create and update technical documentation for 24/7 IT Operations Center personnel to facilitate initial troubleshooting efforts.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools for effective monitoring and management of F5 appliances.
• Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Expertise in creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Experience working independently to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to interface effectively with team members for requirement assessments and solution development.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow.

Certifications

• Must meet DoDM certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
• Must possess an F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
• Equivalent education can include an Associate's degree with 10 years of related experience, or a High School diploma with 12 years of related experience.

Security Clearance

• Due to the nature of our government contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required, or TS/SCI with a willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph clearance.

Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
