Enterprise Data Architect

Overview

Responsible for integration of design across all enterprise data resources, with primary responsibility for the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and operational data store (ODS). HAP/HFHS's enterprise-wide data intelligence systems are designed to increase corporate efficiency and satisfy corporate information requirements at all levels of the business from executive to the lowest level data consumer. The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for driving, maintaining and supporting that effort.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, Health Care or related field; technical training in multi-dimensional modeling and data mining/warehousing techniques.
• Related and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic requirements.
• Related experience is defined as six (6) years of experience in multidimensional modeling, modeling for Cognos BI or data warehouse architecture.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in multidimensional modeling.
• Three (3) or more years of recent experience modeling for the Cognos BI platform.
• Expert level knowledge and understanding of data warehouse architecture, application design, systems engineering, SDLC and integration.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams that analyze complex data related issues and/or logical data models in support of corporate and customer information systems requirements.
• Solid understanding of methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations.
• Business analyst skills relevant to communication and analysis functions. BI development experience relevant to the Cognos reporting platform, preferred.
• ETL development experience relevant to knowledge about information design and compatibility, preferred.
• Database administration skills relevant to knowledge about conceptual/logical/physical design optimization, preferred.
