Engineering Technician - Contractor - C

A client of Innova Solutionsis immediately hiring an Engineering Technician.
Position Type: Full time Contract, Contract to Hire
Duration: 6- 12 months
Location: Tempe, AZ 85281
Shift: 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6 AM - 2:30 PM)
As an Engineering Technician, you will:

• Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Assist in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• May work with complex machines or computer systems.
• Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks, make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Work, with small fragile parts and follow work instructions consistently and make operation entries on computer terminals. Keeping work area orderly and clean.
• Notify Production Supervisor, if a defect is identified, to obtain guidance and assistance, in resolving the problem.
• Adherence to policies and procedures including EH&S, ESD, FOD, Quality, OSHA, MSDS and housekeeping.

An ideal candidate will have

• HSD with 6 years of maintenance experience
• Basic computer proficiency, with working knowledge, of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) preferred
• Use basic hand tools and fixturing, use PPE appropriately, to the use, of chemicals and protection from other hazards is required.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Skills:

• Read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
• Prior experience working under a microscope and hands on Mechanical Assembly experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $30 - $35 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
