Engineering Technician - Contractor - C

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Engineering technician
Job Title: Engineering technician
Duration: 12 months Contract to Hire
Location: Rochester, NY 14606
As an Engineering technician you will

• Experience in production assembly.
• Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
• Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Work with very fragile and precise assemblies.
• Assist with identifying problems and suggest solutions.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
• Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
• Perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment.

Ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
• Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Work with very fragile and precise assemblies.
• Assist with identifying problems and suggest solutions.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
• Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline.
• Aerospace or Defence industry experience.
• Experience with shop equipment including but not limited to Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing practices.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $30-$34 per hour
