About the Role
As the Engineering Manager for Teammate Experience, you will lead a talented and passionate team of engineers focused on building and scaling the product platform that fosters customer satisfaction and long term engagement. Your team will be at the forefront of developing intuitive tools, intelligent automation, and a robust monitoring platform that ensures our customers get exceptional support. You'll partner with PMs, ML engineers, and Strategy & Operations to define and execute a strategic roadmap that balances scalable platform development with cutting-edge product enhancements. At DoorDash, we're reinventing the support experience delivering powerful, efficient, and user-friendly tools that empower DoorDash to delight our customers at every interaction.

- Lead and grow a team of exceptional backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions
- Shape the future of order tracking by driving solutions that seamlessly integrate platform reliability with customer-centric design
- Collaborate with Product Managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap
- Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8+
- Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking
- Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
- Drive key business metrics such as reordering rates, customer engagement, and retention
We're Excited About You Because You Have
- BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend & web) of 8+ engineers
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment
- Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
- Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition
- Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
- Growth mindset - you're eager to expand your skill set and excited to carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting
- Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity - things can change quickly, and you'll need to help the team evolve

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$193,800 - $285,000 USD
