nThis position maybe filled as an Engineer II, III or Sr. depending on the identified candidates' qualifications.
nJOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
nAsset Management engineers fundamentally manage programs for all distribution assets. Including, but not limited to, Poles, Equipment
nMaintenance (reclosers, regulators, capacitors, transformers, etc.) Underground Maintenance, Underground Inspection, Overhead
nMaintenance, Overhead Inspection, Reliability, Outage Causal Analysis, and other similar programs. The Engineer also will work closely
nwith Planning Engineering, design engineering, Standards engineering, and construction/operations activities (routine, non-routine, and
nemergency restoration duties).
nJOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
nPerforms a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis to aid in distribution-related areas such as planning, maintenance, design, project
nmanagement and construction, and operations.
nUses engineering/technical principles, best practices, and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve problems, develop
ncost-effective, technically sound solutions, and improve products or services.
nApplies knowledge of engineering principles in evaluating alternatives, making decisions, and interpreting/employing applicable electrical
ncodes, procedures, standards, processes, and policies.
nSupports activities to comply with applicable Distribution industry standards and best practices and other utility regulations, as required.
nWorks with other disciplines within the Distribution organization and other company business units to achieve stated goals.
nAssist with storm/emergency restoration efforts as necessary.
nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
nMinimum education required of the position
nBachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Industrial) from a four-year accredited
ninstitution.
nDegrees in engineering technology (typically, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Industrial) from a four-year accredited institution
nwith PE may be considered.
nDesired - Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
nMinimum experience required of the position
nEngineer II - 2+ years experience in an engineering discipline.
nEngineer III - 4+ years experience in an engineering discipline.
nEngineer Sr - 6+ years experience in an engineering discipline.
nPreferred :
nPlanning, Field, or Reliability engineering experience
nMinimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
nDemonstrated ability to apply engineering principles. Thorough understanding of procedures, programs, and standards in responsible
narea. Consistently demonstrates good engineering judgment. Good leadership skills. Good interpersonal skills along with strong written
nand oral communication skills. Excellent math skills. Excellent project management skills. Good knowledge of Personal Computer
noperations and related software. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Required
nto work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and to mitigate the
nhazards. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Ability to recognize opportunities for
nprocess improvement and enact change.

nMust have valid driver's license and good driving record.
