Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician

The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists endoscopy nurses and physicians in the gastroenterology (GI) specialty. The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists patients who have stomach or intestine problems, or those who are undergoing diagnostic procedures and/or treatment for various GI-related illnesses.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Endoscopy Technician Certification may be required per state/client contract
• One year of experience preferred within medical assisting, surgical technology and/or GI
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
