Endoscopy Tech

Overview

Coastal Endoscopy Center is hiring an Endoscopy Technician. The Endoscopy Technician operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and Endoscopy Technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The Endoscopy Technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of technical equipment during endoscopic procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and other instruments.
• Manage patient flow and prepare the procedure room.
• Stock supplies and order materials.
• Perform clerical tasks as needed in the procedure area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Endoscopy procedures
• Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including an individuals qualifications and experience.)
