Endoscopy Care Technician

Join Optum as an Endoscopy Care Technician and make a real difference in patient care! Be part of a dedicated clinical team that improves lives at our state-of-the-art facility located at 2800 Marcus Ave, New Hyde Park, NY 11042.

About the Role:

• Work in a collaborative environment focused on the well-being of our patients.
• Your schedule will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 2:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional patient care while aiding in various endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment is functioning and safe for use.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of all tools and areas as per protocols.
• Assist with patient intake, providing vital sign monitoring and collecting specimens.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Engage in pre and post-visit planning and support with patient communications.
• Contribute to the team's success by taking on additional duties when needed.

What We Look For:

• 1+ years of experience in patient care and working in a medical office.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and procedures.
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Soft Skills Needed:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $16.00 to $24.23 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k plans, and more.
