Job Details:
• 80% Inpatient/20% Outpatient Endocrinology consult liaison position at Shady Grove Medical Center• Treat patients with hormone related diseases and conditions• Diagnose and treat diabetes mellitus and thyroid dysfunction• Provide treatment for metabolic disorders• Treat and manage various conditions affecting the endocrine system• Primary focus on inpatient consults supporting the ED, ICU and hospital units• Transition clinic in adjacent medical office building, 2-3 sessions per week• Volume expectations: 12-14 consults per day and 6-7 patients per outpatient session• Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm• No assigned call, with occasional evening or weekend phone calls• Must have completed Fellowship in endocrinology• BE/BC in Internal Medicine required• MD license, CDS and DEA required• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required• Comprehensive benefits including work-life balance, recognition for professional expertise, free employee parking, health coverage, employer-paid disability and life insurance, paid time off, retirement contribution, and more
