nWe have an exciting opportunity for a EMI/EMC Analyst - Space Exploration Avionics Systems to join the team with Oceaneering, a teammate company.

Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **
nThe EMI/EMC Analyst - Space Exploration Avionics Systems will:
n- n
- Report directly to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager as part of a group of 45 other Electronics and Electrical Engineers. n
- Work with other EMI/EMC engineers in support of the Avionics Division on-site at NASA Johnson Space Center. n
- Support EMI/EMC testing performed on-site and off-site at EMI/EMC test chambers on various space-flight electronic hardware systems. n
- Work with the NASA E3 Engineer, major contractors, and sub-contractors, both domestic and foreign, within their engineering disciplines for hardware E3 designing. n
- Support E3 test projects by developing Test Requirements, Test Plans and Test Procedures. n
- Witness E3 testing, providing real-time data analysis, troubleshooting, reduce the test data, and providing a Quick Test Report prior to writing the final test report. n
- Prepare update briefings to management on any significant tests that are performed
in the EMI facility. n - Support Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews; EMC analyses (analytical and numerical), E3 Test Readiness Reviews and witness E3 tests. n
- Support design engineers with consultation and review of electronic circuitry, bonding, grounding and cable designs for EMC compliance. n
- Support projects in new modeling and simulation techniques for design and testing hardware. n
- Support design engineers in bench top lab EMI assessments/Engineering Evaluations. n
- Develop correlation equations to estimate pass/fail criteria in onsite EMI chambers. n
- Be able to look at programs from a system perspective with respect to EMC/EMI areas early in a project. This may include Risk Analysis and recommendations for design changes. n
- While working in a laboratory environment, following standard operating procedures and following safety protocols established by the test facility. n
- Perform other duties, as required, including multiple discipline (Avionics, Power Quality, RF Tx/RX Systems, Mechanical/Structural, Environments, etc.) meetings; attend weekly in-office status meetings, as well as online TEAMS meetings with NASA, primary Contractor, and sub-contractors. n
