Position Summary:

We are seeking individuals in roles such as EMT Basic, EMT Advanced, Paramedic, LVN, or LPN for our Plasma Donation Center! Salary will be commensurate with licensure and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical examinations and gather medical history to assess donor suitability.
• Develop rapport with donors, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the process.
• Uphold confidentiality standards for both donors and staff.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and health information.
• Manage any donor injuries or adverse events effectively.
• Evaluate medical history and medication use to maintain donor eligibility.
• Participate in the training of new staff members.
• Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

Qualifications:

Must be educated and certified/licensed as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT per state requirements, with a current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, with some bending and twisting.
• Frequent hand movements and precise coordination are essential.
• Occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and mobility are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively.
• Work independently while adhering to instructions and performing tasks under variable conditions.

Please note that this role involves potential exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, and extreme temperatures in plasma freezers, where personal protective equipment is required.
