Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical examinations and gather medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to enhance their overall experience.
• Ensure confidentiality of donors and staff.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and ensure their awareness.
• Provide information on general health and counsel donors about any unacceptable test results.
• Assess and manage donor injuries or adverse events.
• Review medical histories and medications to confirm ongoing donor eligibility.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Manage the employee Hepatitis Vaccination program.

Requirements:

Must be certified/licensed as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT in the state of employment, adhering to state guidelines, with current CPR certification.

Desired Attributes:

• Ability to perform various physical tasks, both standing and sitting, for up to 4 hours daily.
• Capability to bend and twist the neck frequently.
• Manual dexterity to perform quick movements with hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift light weights (15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally).
• Visual acuity for near and far vision, correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other.
• Effective communication skills to convey information clearly while also listening attentively.
• Independently work within provided guidelines.
• Adaptability to varying tasks and conditions.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion.

Work will be conducted in a plasma center with exposure to biological materials and potential infectious agents, thus personal protective equipment will be required to ensure your safety.
