Summary:

The Paramedic Emergency Medical Services plays a crucial role in providing urgent medical care to individuals experiencing emergencies or medical crises. Competence in operating an advanced life support ambulance is essential to deliver timely and effective care. Regular inspection of the ambulance and medical equipment is required to ensure optimal operation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Respond swiftly to life-threatening emergencies, medical situations, and non-emergency calls.
• Work collaboratively with physicians to devise a tailored plan of care based on patient assessments.
• Lead response teams to manage triage, formulate treatment strategies, provide medical care, and prepare patients for transportation to healthcare facilities.
• Regularly check and guarantee the functionality of all emergency medical equipment and vehicles; maintain proper supply inventory aboard emergency vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness at station locations.
• Engage effectively with firefighters, law enforcement, and other non-medical staff during emergency responses.
• Complete necessary state and local documentation; prepare detailed reports on patient care.
• Handle hazardous materials following safety protocols and ensure compliance with disposal regulations.
• Provide medical oversight and triage during multiple casualty incidents and disasters, coordinating with other responders for optimal care.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification updates as necessary to meet EMT-P requirements.
• Operate and utilize ambulances and essential medical response tools effectively in emergency situations.
• Make informed decisions aligned with the values, policies, and regulatory requirements of Champion EMS.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
