Emergency Medical Paramedic

Summary:

As an Emergency Medical Paramedic, you will provide critical emergency medical treatment to individuals experiencing life-threatening conditions or injuries. This role requires expertise in operating advanced life support ambulances to deliver immediate care. You will also play a key role in ensuring that our ambulances and medical equipment are properly maintained and cleaned.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans based on assessments.
• Lead response teams in triaging patients, formulating treatment plans, and preparing patients for transport.
• Conduct routine inspections of medical equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
• Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies aboard emergency units.
• Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of station facilities.
• Communicate effectively with firefighters, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel.
• Complete all required state and local documentation regarding patient care.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and oversee their proper disposal according to OSHA regulations.
• Provide care during multiple casualty incidents and disasters in coordination with other responders.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with EMT-P requirements and emergency services best practices.
• Utilize ambulances and medical response tools effectively during emergency situations.
• Make informed decisions in line with the policies of Champion EMS while adhering to compliance standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
