Key Responsibilities

1. Respond to Emergency Calls: Respond promptly and safely to requests for paramedic services, ensuring adherence to local laws governing emergency driving.
2. Accurate Documentation: Complete run reports, data entry, equipment checklists, and patient paperwork with accuracy and integrity.
3. Maintain Ready Vehicle and Equipment: Ensure the paramedic vehicle and equipment are well-stocked, clean, and operational at all times.
4. Provide Medical Care: Deliver comprehensive pre-hospital medical care, including thorough patient assessments and adhering to treatment protocols.
5. Support in Emergency Department: Assist in the ED under physician supervision, performing tasks within your training scope.
6. Leadership in Emergency Situations: Act as a team leader, managing emergency response scenes and coordinating with other medical personnel.
7. Equipment Care: Safeguard and maintain all medical equipment and vehicles responsibly.
8. Continuous Professional Development: Stay current with certifications and share knowledge with colleagues to enhance the team’s collective skills.
9. Community Engagement: Participate in public awareness activities to improve community understanding of the EMS system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Community Paramedic class and clinical training.
• Prior experience in pre-hospital emergency care; critical care and ALS transfer experience preferred.
• Valid motor vehicle driving record, with annual verification.

Licenses/Registrations Required

• Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P)
• ACLS, BLS certifications
• Valid Driver's License

• PALS, NRP certifications
