Emergency Department Nurse Manager Southern Arizona (Cochise County)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead the operations of the Emergency and Cardiopulmonary Departments in Southern Arizona (Cochise County). Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care to patients with emergent, urgent, and outpatient needs. The Nurse Manager provides leadership and administrative oversight to ER Techs and nursing personnel, while collaborating with medical staff to maintain and develop standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance of emergency nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with care standards, documentation, and regulatory policies
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and act as a liaison between patients, families, and providers
• Oversee department operations including budgeting, equipment management, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support education, professional development, and competency evaluation of staff
• Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvement strategies
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure a safe, cooperative work environment

Qualifications:

• RN license in Arizona; BSN preferred
• Minimum 25 years of recent ER clinical experience with progressive leadership background
• Certification in ACLS, PALS (or obtained within 6 months), and CPR required
• Strong knowledge of emergency care for all age groups
• CEN certification or advanced trauma training preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Incentives:

• $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
