Electronics Engineering Technician

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leading industrial electronics company in Munster, Indiana to find a skilled Electronics Engineering Technician for a day-shift, MondayFriday role. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for mid- to senior-level technicians who thrive in hands-on environments. Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay rate: $30 to $30.80/hour (higher if/when convert to perm).

What You'll Be Doing

Join a collaborative team where you'll:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial electronic equipment, including AC/DC and Servo drives, analog/digital I/O boards, inverters, and other control devices.
• Use advanced tools like Pace rework systems and apply both surface mount (SMT) and thru-hole soldering techniques.
• Work on component-level troubleshooting and repair of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates who bring a mix of experience, curiosity, and reliability:

• Education/Experience: A 2-year degree in Electronics Technology is preferred, but 710 years of hands-on experience (including military electronics) is highly valued.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience with AC/DC and Servo drives
• Proficient in SMT and THT soldering/desoldering
• Familiarity with test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, Huntron trackers, and Variacs
• Personal Traits:
• Enjoys tinkering, repairing, and hands-on hobbies
• Reliable, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Quick learner and team player who takes direction well
