Electronic Manufacturing Engineer

As an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as the essential link between design and manufacturing teams, with a strong focus on enhancing design for manufacturability. Your expertise will drive the successful deployment and optimization of production lines for innovative products.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy production lines for new products.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering during initial production runs to validate product development.
• Participate in design reviews, providing input from an industrialization perspective.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.
• Create initial production work instructions for generators and electrical control/conversion units using available manufacturing processes and tools.
• Design basic tooling and select optimal assembly methods as needed.
• Monitor supplier compliance with quality standards and contractual flow-downs.
• Validate Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) for delivered hardware.
• Approve First Article Inspections (FAIs).
• Troubleshoot production issues impacting delivery schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide industrialization support for process and product improvements.
• Represent manufacturing in new development programs to ensure manufacturability is considered from the outset.
• Support improvement initiatives, product transitions, and manufacturing transfers.
• Assist Supplier Quality during audits to verify work instructions align with drawing requirements.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to establish efficient production process flows.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Manufacturing, Industrialization, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of design or manufacturing experience with aerospace or automotive products.
• Strong understanding of PCBs, electronics, and hardware; must be able to read PCB drawings and understand PCB manufacturing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with leaded components (aerospace/DoD).
• Familiarity with power electronics.
• Knowledge of heavy copper layer applications.
• Experience with medium to high voltage systems.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $33.17 - $41.83/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
