Electrical Engineering Manager, Rocket Motor Systems

The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team is on a mission to build next generation solid rocket motors for a safer, more connected world. To achieve our vision of becoming a large-volume provider of tactical rocket motors, we will develop differentiated products and services that maximize our customers' capabilities, and we will establish and maintain a reputation of Quality and Reliability.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will perform the systems engineering function by writing and allocating requirements. You will design and develop the safety-critical circuitry to be used in Ignition Safety Devices (ISD) and Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD). You will specify and be responsible for the testing of ISDs and ESADs, including environmental testing. In addition to EE tasks you will provide technical and project execution leadership to ISD and ESAD programs throughout their lifecycle, from cradle-to-grave. The right person for this role has direct, hands-on experience with the development of ISD, ESAD's and related devices from concept to production, deep technical understanding of ISD and ESAD design and production, and excellent project management skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform the Systems Engineering functions for ISDs and ESADs.
• Collaborate with other engineers on the design of ISDs and ESADs.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
• Lead ISD and ESAD programs from concept into production.
• Own the program-have full authority and responsibility for its execution.
• Generate program plans and execute to them.
• Be the "face of the program" with internal and external customers.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of an interdisciplinary technical team.
• Coordinate activities with other Anduril Rocket Motor Systems organizations outside of Engineering, such as Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years experience in ISD's, ESAD's, or similar devices.
• Experience with the design of high voltage circuitry (2kV).
• Must be an effective communicator with peers, customers, and Government employees.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project planning and management skills.
• Well-versed in the application of systems engineering, particularly risk management and requirements management.
• Travel to customer reviews, safety board reviews, and test locations.
• Ability to obtain and hold a US Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with the design and development of safety-critical systems.
• Bachelors Degree or higher.

US Salary Range $113,000-$150,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
