As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will lead the electrical engineering team in the development, design, test, and manufacturing of Honeybee Robotics' electronic Motion Control products.

As the team manager, you will be responsible for resource planning, technical oversight, process management, and talent management within the team. You will ensure coordination of the team amongst cross-functional stakeholders and ensure that the design team is balancing schedule, cost, and technical deliverables of their designs. You will participate in design reviews, create appropriate process documentation, and occasionally interface with customers. As a people leader, you will act as a role model for others within the department, contributing to our culture of inclusion and high standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage and develop electrical engineering staff
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for development of motor controllers and related electronics
• Process maintenance and development specific to electronic design

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant work experience designing electronics for regulated industries
• Demonstrated experience leading the development of complex electronic designs
• Successful history of mentoring junior engineers
• Significant experience with embedded system design, including:
• Schematic capture and PCB layout
• Digital, Analog, and Mixed Signal design
• Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN)
• Linear and switch mode DC/DC power conversion
• Documentation (Test Procedures & Reports, Interface Control Documents, ECOs)
• Familiarity with:
• Design analysis and simulation (WCA/WCCA, reliability, radiation)
• Cable and wire harness design
• Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI)
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
• Experience in prototype development, debug, and test in a lab environment
• Demonstrable experience designing and launching products in regulated environments

Preferred qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience directly managing technical teams and coordinating with other departments
• Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
• Experience with:
• EEE-INST-002 and radiation-hardness/mitigation
• Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Generation of technical proposal content and labor/cost estimation
• Altium Designer
• Familiarity with:
• DSP and Microcontroller firmware development in C
• FPGA Design (Verilog and VHDL)
• System and functional requirements generation

Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $134,156.00-$187,817.70. Other site ranges may differ.
