Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative and fast-paced analysis and design solutions, focusing on satellite and ground system design and analysis, as well as on the design of various communication and control needs of electronic subsystems. The role involves leading tasks such as schematic design, component selection, circuit analysis and simulation, layout review, and board bring-up and testing. Collaboration across teams and supporting fellow engineers with design reviews and the preparation of joint reports and proposals are also key components of the job.

Essential Skills

  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• n

  5+ years of experience in board-level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products.

• n

  Experience developing requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification.

  n
n
• n

  Experience developing and executing verification plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure the proper functioning of hardware designs.

  n
n
• n

  Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  n

• n

  Proven experience in design verification for hardware systems, including experience with board-level debugging and analysis.

Responsibilities

n
• n

  Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into technically robust solutions backed by data and analysis.

  n
n
• n

  Responsible for electrical circuit design, including digital and analog power, for hosting sensitive RF and communications payloads.

  n
n
• n

  Design electronic circuits including Analog Power, Digital Design, Mixed-Signal ADC/DAC, Processors, FPGA, MCU, SoC, Memory, Transceivers, and Clock generation and distribution.

  n

• n

  Analyze designed circuits using software tools for performance and characterization, including Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) on fabricated PCB designs.

• n

  Identify top-level customer requirements and ensure high-quality and innovative designs are pursued.

n
• n

  Perform electrical design and layout trade studies for electrical and power sub-systems contributing to overall system architecture.

  n
n
• n

  Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel configurations for cost/manufacturability vs design uncertainty.

n
• n

  Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews and as part of proposal efforts.

• n

  Design and support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for space hardware.

n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  PCB/PCBA level verification up to Unit level and debug experience.

• n

  Experience writing test procedures and verification plans.

  Strong hands-on soldering skills, including experience with both through-hole and surface-mount components.

  Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
