Electrical & Automation Engineer - Owensboro, KY area | Onsite | Day Shift

Join a leading metals manufacturer as an Electrical & Automation Engineer, where you'll drive innovation and reliability in a high-performance production environment. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting the Automotive Body Sheet (ABS) department.

Key Responsibilities:

  Design, implement, and optimize electrical and automation systems (PLCs, drives, HMIs)

  n
n
• n

  Lead capital and maintenance projects to improve equipment performance and safety

  n
n
• n

  Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in a 24/7 production facility

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams

  n
n
• n

  Maintain and develop safety systems and automation backups

  n
n

What You'll Bring:

n
• n

  BS in Electrical Engineering or related field

  n
n
• n

  Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC programming, including ladder, function block, and structured text programming languages.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 and 750 series drives.

  n
n
• n

  Strong troubleshooting and project management skills

  n
n
• n

  Experience in unionized environments and continuous manufacturing preferred

  n
n
• n

  Siemens (S7 & TIA Portal) PLC programming, IBA software, and Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus

n
