Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Position: Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Location: North Tonawanda, NY

Training on 1st shift, transitioning to 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm to 7am).

As an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. We are looking for motivated individuals who excel in conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical principles will be essential in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and ensuring seamless operations throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, startup, and safely shut down equipment following company protocols and OSHA requirements.
• Communicate potential electrical and mechanical issues to management and line mechanics, advising on inherent dangers and necessary safety precautions.
• Maintain accurate performance and maintenance records for all equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting efforts.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical License is a must.
• Prior experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Military training and/or technical school experience preferred.
• Proficient in computer operations and PLC programming.
• Flexible availability for any shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and perform various duties as assigned.
• Password to work safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
