Echo-Vascular Technician

Optum is actively seeking a skilled Echo-Vascular Technician to join our dynamic team. The Echo Vascular Technologist will be an integral part of our healthcare delivery team, responsible for conducting important diagnostic imaging and ensuring the comfort and understanding of our patients throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for various diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Thoroughly explain procedures and processes to patients to alleviate concerns.
• Expertly operate imaging equipment, ensuring adherence to specified exposure factors for clear, accurate imaging.
• Implement radiation protection techniques to safeguard patient and staff safety.
• Perform Transthoracic Echocardiographic examinations and Vascular studies, including but not limited to carotid and lower extremity arterial and venous duplex exams.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of imaging data and prepare preliminary reports.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.
• RDCS/RCS certification.
• License or temporary permit to practice in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work independently and travel between different office locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• RVS/RVT certification.

Physical Qualifications:

• Ability to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
