EC Resource Teacher

Special Education Teacher (EC Resource Teacher)

Seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities in grades K12. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction in a resource room setting and through inclusive practices in general education classrooms. You'll work closely with general education staff and rotating teaching assistants to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in a resource room.

- Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings.

- Collaborate with general education teachers and EC staff.

- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.

- Maintain accurate documentation and student records.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred).

- Active NC EC General Curriculum (K12) license (required).

- Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).

- State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following:

• Standard Elementary Teaching
• Standard Secondary Teaching
• Standard Special Teaching

- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred).
