About the Work Environment

This role is based at PetSmart's Phoenix Home Office, where team members can benefit from in-person collaboration while enjoying the option to work remotely one day a week (flex workday available with leader approval) and are expected to work four days in the office. About the Role
As the E-Commerce Site Merchandising Manager, you will spearhead category-specific online experiences, ensuring exceptional execution and ongoing operational excellence. You will drive site KPIs and foster the growth of your team.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in site merchandising and content management, who possesses a keen eye for detail and strong business acumen. The ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects effectively while offering valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop annual and quarterly strategies in partnership with merchandising and marketing teams.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities and adjust strategies based on real-time performance metrics.
• Customer Journey Optimization:
  • Enhance visits, clarity, clicks, and conversions across the website.
  • Lead initiatives for internal search optimization and communicate needs for curated product listing pages.
• Basket Building & Testing:
  • Identify opportunities for cross-merchandising and support basket-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the A/B testing team to implement and assess test results.
• Content Strategy:
  • Review and elevate content strategies to boost conversion rates.
  • Create strategy briefs and manage the planning process effectively.
• Performance Tracking and Data Analytics:
  • Monitor site KPIs, provide actionable insights, and recommend future actions.
  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to develop robust reporting mechanisms.
• Team Development:
  • Promote a sense of belonging and prioritize team performance.
  • Champion team members' growth through stretch projects and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in site merchandising, content management, or e-commerce.
• Strong business and digital acumen is a must.
• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who can navigate complex organizational structures.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with senior-level business partners.
