Drafter/Detailer

We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Detailer to create, review, and update detail drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor to support two manufacturing facilities specializing in custom-built overhead bridge cranes and runway systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in drafting, with the ability to produce precise engineering documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor engineering documentation, including general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, bills of materials, and installation drawings.
• Convert 2D drawings into 3D models and create content from templates or from scratch.
• Generate requisitions for purchases and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Apply red-line markup corrections and revise drawings as needed.
• Work on mechanical and structural drafting projects with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Manage engineering data within an Autodesk Vault environment.
• Multi-task across multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure proficiency in both standard and metric units.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure project success.
• Interpret and work from architectural and building construction drawings.
• Effectively communicate with internal teams via phone and email to resolve technical queries.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in mechanical, civil, or architectural drafting.
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor (SolidWorks experience will be considered).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel & Word primarily).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Visa sponsorship is not available for this position).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with structural and mechanical design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay Rate:

$20.00 - $28.00

Term:

6-month temp to perm
