Drafter/CAD Operator

Apex Is Hiring: Drafter / Cad Operator (C4Isr Vehicle Integration)

Join a fast-paced team supporting the USMC Ground Communications program in Charleston, SC. Were looking for a skilled Drafter or CAD Operator to help design and model installation packages for advanced communications systems on military platforms. If you have hands-on experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks and thrive in classified, mission-critical environments, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create detailed installation, parts, and platform drawings for military vehicles such as Humvees and JLTVs
• Support integration of multiple radio systems into vehicle platforms
• Perform both 2D drafting and 3D modeling using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Update cable drawings and metalwork designs as needed
• Work with classified materials in secure spaces
• Collaborate with engineers and communicate effectively with government customers
• Support the MC Ground Communications program from the Charleston office, with occasional on-base travel

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 56 years of drafting experience, including complex mechanical and electrical layouts
• Experience integrating communications systems into military platforms
• Familiarity with cable routing, metal fabrication, and installation documentation
• Past exposure to NIWC and Marine Corps environments preferred
• Experience with CISCOM systems is a plus

Education:

• Experience is valued over formal educationno degree required

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain Active Secret Security Clearance
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks (either is acceptable)
• Ability to work onsite in Charleston, SC
• Strong communication skills; must be comfortable interfacing with government customers
• Core hours: 9am3pm
• Compensation: $40+
