Distribution Center Lead, Richmond

Gopuff is seeking a Distribution Center Lead (DCL). The Distribution Center Lead role is a core part of the facility leadership team with the responsibility to oversee the team of Operations Associates, evaluating performance, ensuring all Associates meet safety regulations, and working with customers and clients to resolve any delivery issues that arise. Reporting to an Area Manager, you will ensure that outbound Micro-fulfillment Center shipments are accurate, on time, and efficient. You will also ensure inbound shipments from suppliers and vendors are processed correctly.

You Will:

1. Oversee execution of all facility operations and delivery processes for your shift, while ensuring that subsequent shifts are set up to succeed
2. Improve key metrics for the site including staffing levels and shift performance
3. Be the point of contact while managing exceptions and resolving issues
4. Train Operations Associates to abide by standard processes and implement process changes
5. Monitor HR compliance, asset protection, safety controls, overseeing the safety of our people and products, operational and quality assurance reviews
6. Ensure work areas remain clean and are well equipped. Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety programs

You Have:

1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2. 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, military, or equivalent experience
3. 1+ years of experience leading teams
4. Experience with conflict resolution
5. Experience with process management
6. General working knowledge of basic web-based software applications (e.g., Google G-Suite)
7. Have a customer-first mindset and a history of meeting/exceeding department goals

1. Handle, scan and move product in a safe and well-organized manner
2. Stand, push, pull, squat, bend, reach and walk during shifts
3. Use carts, pallet jacks, dollies and other equipment to move product
4. Lift up to 49 pounds. Handle products that may contain tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol
5. Work in freezer locations periodically throughout shifts
