Your Role

The Black Rock Mountain Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our kitchen team as a Steward. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and tremendous attention to detail, in the care they take in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel's kitchen areas. This role truly is part of the "Heart of the House" and provides key services for culinary and food service teams so they can provide great service to our guests. Your role includes:

• Interacting with team members and creating a positive and upbeat work environment
• Maintaining a daily sanitation log for both dish machine and manual pot wash sink
• Ensuring the work areas are left ready and communicating any items that are not ready
• Leading our Green initiatives by properly recycling all cardboard using the compactor
• Being energy conscious and turning off lights when not in use, keeping water faucets turned off, and reporting any leaks to a supervisor
• Paying close attention to specific high traffic areas to avoid accidents, slips, trips, and falls
• Using proper dish and glass racks to ensure proper cleaning and avoid chips, cracks, or breakage of small wares
• Using your time wisely and proactively cleaning and sanitizing all equipment in slow times to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
• Learning different tasks within the kitchen and developing new skills
• Being part of a team and being able to assist in other areas when business levels dictate
• Providing a genuine level of engagement with all guests and fellow crew members with a sincere smile

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $17.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
