Dishwasher

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and replacing utensils, kitchen small wares and equipment. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of kitchenware, handwashing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrape, rinse, and load utensils into dish machine as well as handwashing in 3-compartment sink.
• Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine.
• Understand all chemicals used.
• Unload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize them properly.
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as requested.
• Learn how to utilize the dishwashing machine and the items that are able to be washed in the machine.

Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required: None

Experience Preferred: 1 year commercial/operations dishwashing

Technical Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively perform in a multi-tasking environment with frequent interruptions.
• Able to work in a group setting.
• Able to work alone.
• Strong organization and active listening skills.

Physical Demands:

• The ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to clean items.
• The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with help.
• Ability to work in Cold and Hot temperature rooms.
