Director Of Nursing (Don)
A respected and well-established healthcare facility in South Dakota is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all nursing operations and ensure high-quality, compliant patient care
- Manage and support nursing staff including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor quality assurance and prepare for regulatory audits and inspections
- Assist with departmental budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or ability to obtain
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required; MSN or healthcare management experience preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care, acute, or skilled nursing settings
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
