About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Tailored Brands Store Facilities and Operations team as Director of Labor Management This role will lead labor planning, workforce optimization, and scheduling practices across our retail organization of nearly 1,000 stores. The Director of Labor Management is responsible and accountable for designing and implementing labor strategies that balance efficiency, cost control, compliance, and customer experience. Reporting to the VP of Store Operations, the Director will serve as the company's labor subject matter expert, collaborating closely with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Field Leadership to ensure labor resources are effectively aligned with business objectives. This role is based in Houston and it reports to the Vice President of Store Facilities and Operations.

What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of labor management professionals, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and continuous improvement in labor planning.
- Develop and execute labor management strategies that align with sales growth, service standards, and profitability goals, analyzing labor trends and costs to maximize efficiency and ROI.
- Partner with executive leadership and Finance to forecast and model labor needs, ensuring alignment with budgets, business initiatives, seasonal peaks, and promotional cycles.
- Establish scalable labor frameworks - including productivity standards, staffing guidelines, and scheduling models - to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across all stores.
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the workforce management and scheduling platform, collaborating with IT and vendors to oversee configuration, integrations, performance, and technology adoption.
- Advance innovation in labor management by leveraging AI, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance forecasting, optimize scheduling, and improve both efficiency and employee experience.
- Equip field leaders with tools, dashboards, and playbooks that simplify labor planning and drive consistent, effective practices across locations.
- Serve as the central liaison between corporate functions (HR, Operations, Finance, IT) and field leadership, ensuring labor practices support employee engagement, comply with labor laws, and align with business strategy.
- Contribute to broader Store Operations initiatives, driving strategic projects that support long-term growth and elevate the customer experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Human Resources, or related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in labor management, workforce planning, or retail operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in labor forecasting, productivity modeling, scheduling, and workforce optimization.
- Hands-on experience with WFM systems (design, implementation, and vendor management).
- Deep knowledge of retail operations, labor laws, compliance, and scheduling regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across corporate and field teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex insights for diverse audiences.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates
- This position is Hybrid and based in our Houston Corporate Office
