Job Summary

As a Dietitian Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and providing tailored diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, and preventive counseling to individuals and groups across various care settings, including primary care, specialty care, acute care, and community outreach. You will assess nutritional status, develop individualized care plans, and implement effective nutrition therapies for patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments to identify specific dietary needs.
• Formulating individualized care plans and making evidence-based recommendations.
• Providing education and counseling for disease and nutrition risk management.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of nutrition therapies.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
• Incorporating cultural, ethnic, and religious considerations into nutritional care.
• Staying current with new trends and techniques to enhance standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program (master's degree required after January 1, 2024).
• Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of an approved internship.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license in applicable states.
• Certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
• Proof of a temporary/limited permit nutritionist license may be considered for eligible candidates awaiting CDR testing.
