The primary focus of this role is administering and supporting the organizational Gitlab CI/CD ecosystem. This role is responsible for streamlining software delivery and operations as a member of an Agile team through building and maintaining the automation platform. In this role, the requirement is for strong cloud and CI/CD knowledge to be able to support the Gitlab CI/CD ecosystem. This role requires strong technical, collaboration, and multi-tasking skills to support assigned portfolio delivery teams. Daily responsibilities will include architecting, building, and maintaining continuous integration/continuous delivery framework services for both existing and new application deliveries. Engineers at this level could be assigned additional intermittent focus of work, for example Quality Assurance or Coaching, which would not materially change essential duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Guide, educate, and provide thought leadership to our delivery teams as related to their optimum adoption of DevSecOps practices and framework.

    Champion the use of DevSecOps as a strategic asset of culture change to enhance the flow of business value to our clients.

    n
  2. n
  3. n

    Make informed decisions and determine which tool best fits any given situation based on proficiencies with multiple vendor products based on each of the above capabilities.

    n

  5. n

    Develop and recommend DevSecOps best practices.

    n
  6. n
  7. n

    Use sophisticated, analytical thought to exercise judgment and design innovative solutions for the most complex components of the DevSecOps lifecycle.

  9. n

    Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

    n
  10. n
  11. n

    Provide technical and process guidance to junior team members.

  13. n

    Build and maintain the automation and streamlining of software delivery and operations for new or existing software applications through advanced proficiency and subject matter expertise in vendor tools in the DevOps lifecycle including:

a. Infrastructure as Code; Agile and Development Lifecycle Management; Source Code Management; Build Orchestration; Build Management; Artifact Repository Management; Behavior Driven Development; Test Driven Development; Automated Testing including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Stress Testing, and Performance Testing; Static Code Analysis; Load and Performance Testing; Artifact Scanning; Database Schema Management, Orchestration and Recovery; Compliance Automation and Audit Trails; Configuration Management; Containers; Application Release Automation; Deployment Strategies and Patterns including Blue/Green Deployment, Canary Releases, and Rolling Releases; Logging and Log Analytics; and Performance Monitoring and Management.

    Liaise with DevSecOps Center for Enablement (C4E) to ensure that Enterprise tools or practices are followed, and to share information about any team specific tools or practices that may benefit other teams.

    Active participant with the Truist Agile Guild and Agile DevOps Communities of Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

n

    Bachelor degree or equivalent education and related training or experience

    n
  2. n
  3. n

    Seven+ years of experience in software engineering or IT including at least Four years of experience in a role in which the primary responsibility is DevOps Engineering or the development, maintenance, and support of CI/CD pipelines.

    n

  5. n

    Must demonstrate ability to write code

    n
  6. n
  7. n

    Foundational cloud architecture knowledge

    n
  8. n
  9. n

    Must demonstrate ability to construct basic application build pipeline

    n
  10. n
n

Preferred Qualifications:

n
    n
  1. n

    Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, AWS Tech Stack (Lambda, IAM, VPC, ECS, Fargate, EC2, Route53, Aurora, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, ELBs)

    n
  2. n
  3. n

    Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, including deploying and managing AWS services

    n
  4. n
  5. n

    5-7 year experience hands on troubleshooting AWS and CI/CD related issues

    n
  6. n
  7. n

    Knowledge of scripting language such as Python or Unix shell scripts

    n
  8. n
  9. n

    Strong team player, communicates well, and caries an infectious can-do attitude

    n
  10. n
  11. n

    AWS Certification's "AWS DevOps Engineer" or similar experience

    n
  12. n
  13. n

    Experience in the banking industry

    n
  14. n
